Massage Therapist Lic#22900
My mission is to “Eradicate pain from the world, one massage at a time”.
Codi Laffey graduated from University of Western States in Salem, Oregon for clinical massage therapy. It was there she discovered the passion for helping those who suffer from chronic pain conditions, as well as those who suffer from stress/anxiety disorders such as PTSD. Massage is a way to provide a convenient, comfortable, and efficient service that will be integrated into a treatment plan personalized for each client. Codi’s goal is to utilize her passion and education to help her clients re-balance their bodies from the physical and emotional stress of day to day life.

“I feel that my success as a massage therapist is not determined by the number of clients I have, but by seeing my clients reach the goals we have set together to improve their health and well-being.”
Annette Brown-Gaillard has spent her entire life around people with long term chronic pain and witnessed the benefits of massage for those people. After graduating from Oregon School of Massage in Salem, Oregon, she has used her experiences and knowledge to provide insight and help those in their journey to reclaiming their lives free from pain. During her time spent practicing in North Carolina, Annette worked with a wide range of chronic conditions from MS, post-polio syndrome, and athletic injuries to people with cancer both during their treatments to post cancer.
Through customized treatment plans, Annette’s approach is to empower her clients to take an active role in becoming pain free and educating them on stretching and self-care is just the first step.
During the course of planning your customized treatment a combination of techniques might be suggested:
- Deep Tissue with synergy stones
- CranioSacral Therapy
- Touch Therapy for those with cancer or chronic illness
- Annette is certified in Integrative Reflexology which can aid with many conditions including sciatic pain.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue targets the deep tissue structure of the fascia and muscles. Focusing on relieving the tension and chronic knots. Breaks up and eliminates scar tissue from previous injuries. Slow, consistent, and firm pressure is applied gliding along an individual muscle from origin to insertion. Accessing the muscle belly to breaking up adhesions.
CranioSacral is a very gentle and relaxing form of bodywork. This therapy evaluates the body’s craniosacial system and assists in the release of restrictions which inhibits the body’s normal healing tendencies. This system plays a vital role of maintaining the environment in which the central nervous system functions. It is a network of membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord as well as the attached bones, including your skull and sacrum.
Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing. A form of alternative medicine, aromatherapy is gaining momentum. It is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased awareness. Also, a great addition to a massage treatment.

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion
A trigger point is a sensitive area in the muscle or connective tissue (fascia) that becomes painful when compressed. Trigger point therapy targets these sensitive sites of the body to apply concentrated amounts of pressure to release triggers.
Head and foot reflexology
Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating pressure points on the feet, hands, or head. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort.
